About £5,000 in cash and a quantity of cannabis were discovered by officers during an early morning raid in Faversham.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man at a house in Gaskin Road on Friday after they stormed the property at about 6.40am.

As well as the cash and drugs, officers seized a number of mobile phones.

The arrested man was detained on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He was later released from custody pending further inquiries.
