Police cordon around recreation grounds near Lower Road, Faversham

Police have placed a cordon around a park as they investigate reports a teenage girl was sexually assaulted by two men.

Officers have closed off two grassy fields on a housing estate near Lower Road in Faversham, after reports of the assault yesterday evening.

Police received a report that two teenage girls were approached by two men while inside a park in Lower Road.

The men are alleged to have separately sexually assaulted one of the girls.

Four officers can be seen guarding the cordons, placed in one field between Benstead Grove and Lower Road, and another on Lower Road.

There are two police cars on the scene. Officers are completing enquiries in the area.

Neighbours did not wish to comment when approached by KentOnline.
