Police have stepped up their patrols after a number of thefts from vehicles across Faversham.

Officers are warning drivers to be vigilant after cars were targeted.

A police spokesman said: "Officers have recently received a number of reports of theft from vehicles across Faversham.

"Local policing officers will be targeting their patrols to deter opportunist criminals.

"Vehicle owners are reminded to shut windows, lock doors and remove valuable items on display to help prevent their vehicle from being targeted by an opportunist thief.

"Anyone who has information about an incident is encouraged to contact the police."
