A review is underway to prevent unauthorised encampments after several caravans were spotted parked at a swimming pool car park for the second time this month.

The traveller encampment was first spotted at Faversham Swimming Pool in Leslie Smith Drive on May 10.

It is believed they arrived two days prior.

After then leaving the site, six caravans have been pictured on the same plot again this week.

Swale Borough Council has confirmed the vehicles do not have permission to stay on the land.

A spokesman for the local authority said: “The council is aware of the situation and is taking appropriate action.

“We are currently reviewing our options to further dissuade the misuse of our property.

“We regularly monitor our car parks and take appropriate action where necessary.”
