A new sunset swim session is being trialled in the outside lido at Faversham Pools throughout September.
The heated pool will be open from 4pm to 8pm every Tuesday during the month.
And after a successful first evening, the session will now be offered on a Thursday too.
The pool is usually open from May to September but there have been calls for the pool to stay open later in the year.
New general manager Jon Lazenby, who took over from Roger Lake last month, said: "Since taking over I’ve spent some time getting to know our swimmers and listening to customer feedback.
"We know how many of them are very keen to swim outdoors year round. Outdoor swimming has a huge number of benefits for body and mind, has a proven impact on low mood and depression, and can even boost the immune system.
"This is a one-month trial, as we need to assess how popular the sessions will be. We plan to seek further funding to offer more off-peak swimming in our lido, if the demand is there.
"We’re very proud of our facilities here at Faversham Pools, and our customers will see lots of positive changes as we plan for our post-pandemic future."
It's only for over 16s and the price of the sessions aren't included in the season ticket and pre-booking is essential.
