PARISH councillors are celebrating after winning quality council status for Chestfield.

The news was announced at the annual meeting on Monday by out-going chairman Pearl Freeman.

She said she was delighted with the award, which was for the whole village.

“We have been able to demonstrate that we are representative of the whole community, we communicate with our residents and we are properly managed and responsible,” she said.
