The busy A2 was shut this morning following a two-car crash.

Emergency crews were called to the collision on the Canterbury-bound carriageway, near the Brenley Corner junction at Faversham.

Both vehicles - one believed to be a Range Rover - ended up in a verge on the side of the road.

Police closed both lanes for about half-an-hour before re-opening one until the accident was cleared at about 9.40am.
