A West Ham-supporting parrot which sings "I’m forever blowing bubbles” is back at home after going missing for two days.
Feathered football fan Lucy, 13, flew out of her home in Cress Way on Tuesday morning as owner Margaret Chalmers headed out to work.
The African Grey, with a stunning red tail, was spotted in Lower Road shortly after but flew off towards the Mount recreational ground in London Road.
It’s the first time the chatty bird had done a disappearing act.
But now the pretty polly, which can recite the footy chant, as well as read out phone numbers and ask basic questions, has been found.
She was spotted in Market Place yesterday (Thursday) and tempted down with an apple.
Margaret, who works at the Beauty Spot in West Street, said: “We were really missing her. She usually singing ‘where’s Margaret? Where’s Margaret?’ and we were asking ‘where’s Lucy’?
"My husband Al is really happy to have her back at home and she is already chanting 'up the Hammers, up the hammers.
"Thank you to everyone for their help."
It’s not the first time Kent Online has helped to reunite a parrot with his owners.
In July last year, an appeal brought African grey Rocky back home to his owner Shelley Halls after going missing for nearly a week.
