Ray Turner says his Faversham Town side will not be lacking in confidence when they get back to Bostik South East action on Saturday.
Faversham were knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday by Worthing who are unbeaten in the Bostik Premier this season.
Turner’s side travel to Three Bridges in the hope of continuing their good start to the league campaign.
They sit eighth in the table after taking seven points from the first four games.
He said: “We have played two sides in the last week who compete at a higher level.
“It is good because if we get that opportunity to go up to that level we will have to play like that every week.
“I do not think the defeats will have a huge affect on us. We will be looking to impose our game on them to keep ourselves in that top eight. We are still in a good position in the league.
“I do not expect them (Three Bridges) to stay where they are for very long. All the reports I’ve had on them said it was a difficult game. It is still very early in the season.”
Faversham lost 3-1 at home to Worthing in the FA Cup at the first qualifying round stage.
Turner was pleased with the way his side played but felt they missed a chance to cause an upset.
He said: “They were the better side. That was very evident. The disappointment boils down to the manner in which we conceded the goals.
“If we had a good 10 minutes in the part of the game where we equalised shortly after half-time it could have been a different story.
“In the first half we controlled them very well. We started well and had a chance from a corner. It is nice if you can go ahead in these games and that then changes their game plan.”
