Kieron Campbell scores last-minute equaliser as Faversham hit back from 3-0 down at league leaders Ramsgate

Struggling Faversham showed they are up for the fight by storming back from three goals down to draw at Isthmian South East leaders Ramsgate.

Rams looked set for a routine victory at Southwood on Wednesday night, with TJ Jadama, Ashley Miller and Jack Paxman putting Jamie Coyle's side in charge.

But the division's bottom side struck three times in the final 30 minutes to claim a precious point in their survival fight.

Ronald Sithole marked his return to Faversham on a month's loan from Gillingham by launching the fightback.

Harry Codd made it 3-2 and Kieron Campbell scored a last-minute equaliser from a free-kick.

Teenager Sithole is back at Faversham, initially for a month, having had a brief spell at Salters Lane at the start of the season.

He has been joined by another foward, Shola Ayoola, who joins on a permanent deal.

His previous clubs include Stoke under-18s, Worthing, Merstham, Folkestone and Corinthian Casuals.

Assistant manager Darren Beale said: “Ronald will settle in really well with our group.

“He played against us at Whitstable in a friendly and really stood out so we decided to keep an eye on his progression and if the opportunity came we would bring the young lad over.

“With two excellent additions to the club at a really important stage of the season, let’s hope they are part of the final push to get us to safety.”

There’s also a new arrival in the boardroom, with former Town player and manager Phil Miles returning to the Lilywhites as director of football.

He’ll work in all areas of the club, from the first team to the academy, youth, ladies and disability sides.

Faversham host Cray Valley this Saturday (3pm).
