Manager Sammy Moore still wants to add more fresh faces to Faversham’s new-look squad - but is prepared to be patient.
Having recruited defenders Emmanuel Dasho and Jacques Kpoghomou, Moore has also brought in ex-Potters Bar captain Frazer Shaw and winger Michael Ademiluyi, as well as midfielder Jamie Splatt on loan from National League South Dulwich.
The recruitment drive is not yet over. Moore, though, will only move for the right players as he looks to get the team away from the foot of Isthmian South East.
He said: “We have identified three or four positions where we need to add. But we will take our time.
“We need to make sure they are right for the club and buy into the project.
“If we can before the weekend, brilliant. If not, I think there will be quite a bit of movement after Christmas and I’m happy with what we have got.
“We have brought in five players capable of playing Isthmian Premier. They will make a huge difference to our team.”
The Lilywhites won the race for Shaw’s signature, with the ex-West Ham youngster, now 27, having worked with Moore and assistant Darren Beale at Leatherhead and Concord as well as Potters Bar.
“Frazer is way above this level,” said Moore.
“He knows that but we have had him at every club we’ve been at.
“He’s a leader on and off the pitch. He will be the best left-back in the league, going forward and defensively. But he has bought into the project.
“He had a lot of offers from Isthmian Premier and some in National League South.
"It shows people want to be part of this.”
Splatt and former Cray Wanderers man Ademiluyi, meanwhile, will strengthen the Lilywhites in midfield.
“They’re two areas we wanted to get better players in,” said Moore, who has signed Splatt on an initial one-month loan.
“Jamie Splatt comes highly recommended from Dulwich. He had played four or five National South games back-to-back but he had an injury and came out of the team.
“Michael, I tried to sign at Potters Bar earlier in the season. You will not get anyone quicker than him in this league.
“Having him and Kieron Campbell on either side brings real pace and a threat.”
Town were set to visit fellow strugglers Haywards Heath last weekend but the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.
Moore said: “It’s obviously frustrating for us. We have made a couple of signings and we felt it was a game we could win.
“But the weather this time of year hinders plans and stuff, and quite a few on 3G pitches were off!
"We’re disappointed the game didn’t go ahead, we could have got three points and got closer to safety.
“With it being called off so late, it was difficult to have a session but we’re in good spirits.”
This Saturday, Faversham are due to host promotion-chasing Beckenham.
The match, however, is already in doubt with a friendly on Tuesday at Salters Lane against tenants Faversham Strike Force postponed. Instead, they played out a goalless draw at Margate after their own midweek postponement.
“They’re a good outfit, I have watched a couple of their games,” said Moore of Beckenham, who made the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.
“They’re strong and they have men in their team. They’re a team that has been together for nearly two years.
“But it’s a good test of where we are at.”
Next Thursday, the Lilywhites have pencilled in a friendly at Whitstable.
