Tommy Warrilow believes it’s important Faversham don’t pick up bad habits during an unusual fixture period.
The Southern Counties East League Premier Division title race has swung back in the Lilywhites’ favour.
They returned to the summit with a 5-0 home win over Holmesdale last weekend with rivals VCD drawing their past two matches.
Faversham, due to visit Sutton Athletic tonight, have a fixture-free Saturday this weekend.
Warrilow’s men then are away to Kennington on Saturday, April 5, and travel to Larkfield & New Hythe three days later - but only return to action at home to relegation-threatened Lordswood after that - albeit they also have a rearranged match at Tunbridge Wells to fit in.
“I’ve never known that,” said Town’s manager on their upcoming schedule. “Obviously, they have brought the Larkfield game forward from April 12 due to their Kent Senior Trophy final (that weekend).
“We have got some gaps coming up. At the moment, we have a game on Wednesday, we have no game on Saturday, then we go Saturday to Tuesday and then from April 8 until April 21 with no game.

“The one thing we will have is a lot of training sessions.
“We’re hoping to rearrange the Tunbridge Wells game in there between April 8 and April 21, but Tunbridge Wells have got other games that they need to sort out.
“I don’t want that big gap because we want to keep the momentum. Hopefully, before the last three games of the season, you would like to have a slightly better idea of where you’re going to finish.
“This could go to the wire. I could say ‘They should win there and they should win there’, but it just doesn’t work like that.
“We just need to make sure, at this stage of the season, we don’t pick up any bad habits.
“When you do, it does cost you. Ultimately, if I was the one chasing, I would chase and chase until it’s mathematically impossible.
“But we will just try to crack on.”
Bizarrely, with more week matches than weekend games to play as it stands, strength-in-depth in Town’s squad could prove important, with work commitments another factor to consider.
Warrilow said: “It’s not about individuals anymore.
“This is about the football club and getting out of this league. That was the aim when I came in the door, the aim last season, and it’s been the same this season.
“But I don’t think there will be any dead games. We have just got this three-game mini league now, then one more three-game mini league.
“As I said at the time, all these draws we’ve had - even though they’re disappointing - could be massive.
“Hopefully, it’s not as tight as that. I would love to say something different, but it’s just about picking the bones out of each game and getting ready for the next one.
“You have got clubs fighting for play-off places and clubs fighting for their lives.
“We have got Kennington to play. I think they’re a very good side.
“Although they haven’t been in great form, they will be looking to work themselves out of it.”
A crowd of 552 saw the Lilywhites ease past Holmesdale.
Warrilow reflected: “It was a really good performance.
“I’m pleased, as well, because there was a very good crowd. We played some really good stuff.
“Even when we didn’t score, some of our build-up play was excellent.”
Playmaker Nathan Wood led the way with a first-half double.
“I’m really pleased for Woody,” said Warrilow. “He had gone a little bit quiet in the last few games.
“Not so much against Stansfeld, we just didn’t get the ball to him enough, but he did really well on Saturday.”
Danny Parish also bagged a brace, with Johan Caney-Bryan on target after the interval.
While Caney-Bryan has the No.9 shirt, Warrilow explained: “Danny’s up there.
“We have just been working on things, talking about taking players out of their comfort zones and getting them into pockets.
“We’ve been really pleased with Danny.”
