Ray Turner hopes Faversham can extend their winning run at the home of old rivals Leatherhead and cause an FA Cup upset on Saturday.
In-form Town have won all six of their home games at Salters Lane this season but such is their form and the fact they have won their last two games at Fetcham Grove, boss Turner says the Lilywhites will travel with confidence for the first qualifying round clash, with £3,000 prize money up for grabs for the winners.
Despite the Tanners having secured a top-three place and promotion to the Ryman League, Premier Division last season, Town did their bit to stall their progress with a 3-1 win in Surrey in March.
The previous season, Dave Botterill struck an 80th-minute winner in a 1-0 win for the visitors which again derailed Leatherhead’s quest for promotion.
Turner said: “They’ve got big resources and are a different team to last year but we are also pretty different.
“It should be a good game. I’d take a replay now and the chance to get them back here with our own form.
“We’re missing a few and I don’t know how exactly how we might set-up yet and that’s a good thing because it means they won’t either.
“We’ll certainly go there attack-minded. We have had a few good days up there in recent seasons and sometimes when you travel up and look around the ground, you get those good feelings coming back to you.”
Turner has several selection concerns for the trip to Leatherhead. John Scarborough is a doubt after coming off with a groin problem against Hythe on Tuesday while Darren Marsden and Renford Tenyue are still out and Jamie Maxted and Luke Harvey are away.
But Town have managed to extend Jack Harris’ loan from Maidstone and the Stones are prepared to let him play for us in the Cup game.
