Faversham’s players have two more chances to work their way into manager Ray Turner’s team for the first game of the season.
Lilywhites kick off their Bostik South campaign at VCD on August 12 and Turner says there are still places up for grabs in his starting XI.
Faversham host Canterbury City on Saturday before finishing pre-season with a trip to Waltham Abbey next weekend.
Turner said: “I’m not 100% on my team by any means at the moment so it’s a good place to be. There are still opportunities for people to come in and impress.
“We know, over such a long season, there’s going to be plenty of opportunities and I just want to keep that squad together now. I’m not looking for anyone else.
“I made it clear I wanted to have more strength in depth. We know how many games you have to play early in the season and last year is still fresh in my mind when we lost a lot of players towards the back-end of pre-season.
“We started very light and it caught up with us in the end. It’s important for me that we’ve got some cover and players who can offer competition for places.
“We’ve been flexible in how we’ve set up in pre-season. We’ve changed how we’ve played, we’ve changed formation regularly during games so there’s still a few things to iron out.”
Faversham, who won 2-1 at Sheppey on Saturday, will have striker Luke Harvey available for the first time this summer against Canterbury.
