Ray Turner hopes to use home advantage to cause an upset in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Faversham Town host high-flying Bostik Premier side Worthing on Saturday at Salters Lane.
Worthing are unbeaten in the league so far this season.
Manager Turner said: “We have had them watched. They have started very well and some of the managers I’ve spoken to that have played them have tipped them as one of the best in the Bostik Premier.
“The thing we have in our favour is that we are at home and we have been good there so far this season.
“They will come here expecting to win. We have got this one opportunity and we will give it our all to beat them. Hopefully we will have a decent crowd as well.”
Turner’s side moved up to eighth in the Bostik South East after a 3-1 win at home to Sevenoaks Town.
They were two goals up in the first 11 minutes and controlled the game from there.
Turner said: “I was very pleased with the performance and the result on Saturday.
“It was similar to the last FA Cup game where we got a couple of goals early and we were able to control the game.
“I wanted the boys to bounce back after the Ashford defeat and they did that. We had everyone available for the first time and that really showed.
“We go into a big cup weekend sitting in the top eight and I’m happy with that.
“You are always disappointed to not keep a clean sheet and by that stage we had taken off a couple of players. The goalkeeper deserved a clean sheet from the game.
“If we are going to stay in that top eight we need to be more ruthless at both ends of the pitch.”
Faversham were knocked out of the Velocity Trophy on Tuesday after a 2-1 defeat at home to Burgess Hill Town.
Turner added: “There was not a massive difference from Saturday in terms of performance. I always knew they would be a strong side and thought it would be a good game. We were a little bit slow to start in both halves and that cost us.”
