Boss Ray Turner wants Faversham to showcase their Ryman League Premier Division credentials when they welcome champions elect Burgess Hill Town to Salters Lane on Saturday.
Town cruised to a 4-1 win at Walton & Hersham on Saturday before a 5-0 success at home to Carshalton on Tuesday night, taking them to 102 goals for the season in their 40th game.
Since September, Town and the Hillians have occupied the top-two places in Division 1 South for all but a handful of weeks.
But while the Sussex side are just four points from sealing the title, Town face a dogfight to hold onto the runners-up spot in their last six games with Folkestone and Merstham in hot pursuit.
Turner said: “We are trying to build a club the way Burgess Hill have. It doesn’t seem fair when you think that Dulwich won this league with 89 points a couple of years ago and this year 100 points might not get you second.
“We are at the point where we are capable of playing at a Premier Division level, hopefully we can show that on Saturday, but we just have to try and get through the lottery of the play-offs now to prove it.”
He added: “It should be a great game. We lost 2-1 down there in September but it will be interesting to compare then against now. I am looking forward to it."
Dave Botterill (illness), Matt Bourne and Dean Grant (suspension) are back in contention for Saturday.
