Ray Turner hopes Faversham can build on their fast start to the campaign and establish themselves in the upper echelons of Ryman League, Division 1 South from the outset.
Town are generally slow starters, however this season have won five of their first seven clashes this season, including a last-gasp victory to win their FA Cup preliminary round tie at home to Westfield on Saturday.
Lilywhites have won all four home games this season and are seeking to extend that run with the visit of newly-promoted South Park to Salters Lane on Saturday (3pm) and Hythe Town on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
Manager Turner said: “It was a dramatic finish, though we deserved the result on Saturday. To win four out of four at home is nice. We want to make it a place where it’s difficult for teams and we want to keep people coming back by playing good, entertaining games.”
He added: “Saturday will be an important game for us. If we could pick up another three points against South Park, it would help us get in the mix as the table starts to take shape.
“I don’t know much about them but I’ll have a look at the scouting reports, although with all due respect to other teams, you can spend too much time worrying about the opposition.
“We just need to focus on doing what we need to do. We are not exactly renowned for having a good start to the season.
“It’s much better to be this end of the table than down at the bottom and having to catch up.”
Midfielder Darren Marsden is set to be sidelined for at least a fortnight with an abdominal/groin problem while Renford Tenyue was due to undergo an X-ray on Wednesday on an ankle problem.
Turner is in the market for a forward on loan from a club playing at a higher level as Luke Harvey and Jamie Maxted are set to be unavailable in coming weeks due to personal commitments.
Maidstone loanee Jack Harris is available for Saturday’s game after missing the Westfield game to avoid being cup tied.
