The focus will return to league matters for Faversham after they were knocked out of the FA Cup.
Town went down 3-1 at home to Isthmian South East Broadbridge Heath in a first qualifying round replay on Tuesday after keeper Jacob Russell saved a penalty in last weekend’s initial tie, which ended goalless.
Tommy Warrilow’s title-chasing team host Erith & Belvedere in the Southern Counties East Premier Division this Saturday before they visit Lordswood on Tuesday.
“Anything can happen on the day,” said Faversham manager Warrilow. “I don’t tend to look too much at who we’re playing.
“When we played Fisher and beat them 1-0 in the Vase, it was a really hard-fought 1-0 win. Everyone was sort of saying ‘only 1-0?’ when they were maybe expecting it to be 3-0.
“I know they lost on Tuesday (1-0 against early high-fliers Holmesdale) but they had been on a good little run before that.
“We have just got to worry about ourselves. I just know that every week we’re going to be involved in a battle in our league games.
“The most important thing for us is to get out of this league this year.”
A crowd of 313 at Salters Lane watched Town’s replay and saw them fall two goals behind before half-time, conceding twice as away players were left unmarked at corners.
While they improved, an all-important Faversham goal proved elusive until a late header by captain Callum Davies from midfielder Sam Hasler’s corner - by which time Broadbridge Heath had already added a third to effectively seal the tie.
Warrilow admitted: “The first half has cost us.
“We never came out of the block. We’re disappointed that the first two goals have come from set-pieces, which we knew they were strong at.
“We got a good response in the second half. First half, it was them and second half was us.
“If we had taken one of our chances a bit earlier, it might have been a different story but, obviously, the third goal has killed it.
“We still knocked on the door and got a consolation but just ran out of time.
“Like I’ve just said to the boys, you cannot turn up for half a game.”
Midfielder Henry Muggeridge filled in at right-back as Tariq Ossai was sidelined due to injury.
Warrilow explained: “It’s his thigh and his groin.
“He had been playing with a little bit of a knock but Saturday was just a bit too much for him and then Tuesday came around too quickly after that.”
With last term’s top scorer Stefan Payne another watching on from the sidelines, Warrilow admitted he would be open to adding to his squad, depending on who’s available.
Warrilow said: “It’s that sort of time where people might be looking to move on.
“We’ll have a little look. Obviously, we have got a few little knocks ourselves. It doesn’t take a lot to deplete the squad.
“But at the same time, if you do have a massive squad, it’s hard to try and keep them all happy. Some other teams are finding that out.
“We’ll keep our eyes and our ears open to any fallout.
“If there’s anything out there that’ll benefit us, we’ll act on it.”
