Tommy Warrilow knows Faversham have a big asset on their hands after being reunited with Danny Parish.
Lilywhites boss Warrilow previously worked with the striker at Ashford and Thamesmead and has always brought out the best in him.
They link up again with the forward joining on dual-registration from Isthmian South East high-fliers Sittingbourne.
Parish missed the start of the season through injury and spent time on loan at Hythe before being recalled by the Brickies earlier this month.
They’re happy for him to go back out and Faversham have a prolific goalscorer on their hands if he’s fit and firing.
He made his debut as a second-half substitute as Town came from a goal down to Bearsted 2-1 on Saturday.
“There was a chance to get Dan in and we’ve taken it,” said Warrilow. “I tried to sign him in the summer.
“He’s had a bad time with injury and he’s just coming back from that.
“He got half an hour on Saturday and made an impact.
“He looked very lively and he’s only going to get stronger.
“The beauty is he can come in and he’s got nothing to prove to anyone.
“We had him at two other clubs and he can come in and relax, enjoy his football and bang in loads of goals, and hopefully we can all help each other out.
“I’m hoping he can get his head down here and it’s something that suits both parties.
“We’ll get a couple of sessions in him and hopefully he gives us a little injection as well.
“It’s a fresh face around the place and a good player.
“I’m sure he’ll show what he can do here.”
Faversham put their FA Vase exit against Erith & Belvedere behind them with their comeback victory against Bearsted in the Southern Counties East Premier Division.
The visitors went in front through Eniola Hassan midway through the second half.
But neat finishes from Matt Newman and Nathan Wood in the last 12 minutes turned the game Town’s way.
Faversham are a point behind leaders VCD, with a game in hand, but they’re without a match this weekend as scheduled opponents Tunbridge Wells are in FA Vase action.
With no game until hosting Whitstable on December 28, it was an important result against Bearsted.
Warrilow said: “We weren’t happy going out of the Vase but you have to accept it and move on and we’ve come back and got a good three points against Bearsted.
“I said to the boys fair play to you for showing that fighting spirit because they could have felt sorry for themselves.
“Bearsted’s goal came against the run of play - I thought we started the second half well but we didn’t take our chances - and they’ve scored from outside the box.
“You could sense the frustration around the place but we got straight back into it, scored a very good goal and went on to get the winner.
“I’m pleased because we don’t have a game on Saturday, with Tunbridge Wells playing in the FA Vase.
“It was an important three points because of the gap before we play again on December 28.
“They were two really good finishes as well.
“I’m pleased for Matt Newman, who’s come back into it all, and Woody’s cashed in with a very good individual goal, cutting in and finishing nicely.
“All we can do now on Saturday is see how everyone gets on around us. We asked if anyone wanted a friendly but at the moment we’ll get boys in training and prepare for Whitstable.”
