A woman has been taken to hospital after the ambulance she was receiving treatment in was hit by a car in Folkestone.
She was taken ill in Folkestone and an ambulance was called to Earls Avenue in the west of the town shortly after midday to take her to hospital.
But as she was being cared for by paramedics a car collided into the back of the vehicle.
Three more ambulances were sent to the scene including a paramedic car and the woman was transferred to one of them before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance service said she was in a stable condition.
Minor injuries were reported among the other casualties who declined hospital treatment.
Police attended and the road was re-opened at 1pm, a spokesman said.
