2 hurt in incident outside nightclub

TWO men needed hospital treatment after a fracas outside a Kent nightclub.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that occurred within a few yards of Club Indigo in Marine Parade, Folkestone, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At some time between 1am and 2am, a man sitting on a wall opposite the venue was hit on the back of his head with a bottle, which smashed.

He was taken to William Harvey Hospital at Ashford and received stitches to the back of his head.

A 23-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested in connection with the incident and he was also taken to William Harvey Hospital where he was treated for a broken jaw and an injury to his eye socket.
