He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 18 April 2017.

Residents in Downs Road were surprised to learn of the disturbance with one woman saying "it's a nice road, we've been here 10 years".

The incident is thought to be linked to Lord Cornwallis Court in The Waltons, a cul-de-sac off Downs Road.

One couple described hearing shouting, and someone saying 'I'm going to kill you.'

Officers are continuing to appeal for information and ask that any witnesses contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 16-1211.
