A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital in Ashford after a road accident in Hawkinge.

He was struck by a green Toyota Yaris in Page Road at 6.15pm yesterday, leaving him with serious head injuries.

Kent Police said the Yaris driver had been negotiating a junction when the accident happened.
