Alzheimer's Society plans new advice centre

AN ADVICE and information centre for family and friends caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease or dementia should be up and running in Folkestone or Ashford by the end of the year.
The promise of the base, a branch of the Alzheimer's Society, was made during a packed public meeting at the Saga Pavilion in Sandgate by the group and the Ashford-based charity, Carer's Support.
After the meeting, volunteers offered their skills and experiences to get the centre started. For more information contact Carers' Support on 01233 664393.
