PEOPLE who think they might have valuable family heirlooms or treasures in their attics are invited to an event taking place in Folkestone on Sunday, January 27.

It is being hosted by a team from a new BBC television programme called Flog it, which is a cross between the popular Sunday show the Antiques Roadshow and the weekday series Bargain Hunt.

People are asked to take what they think may be of value to The Grand Hotel, on The Leas, between 9.30am and 4pm. A chosen few will n be asked to take part in an auction, at Bracketts Auctioneers in Tunbridge Wells in February.

Admission to the day is free and visitors are asked to take no more than three items in to be valued, unless they are taking a collection.
