One man is in custody this evening after up to five people were reported fighting in the street in Folkestone.

Eyewitnesses reported a heavy police presence in Shorncliffe Road, near St Mary's Park, with four patrol cars and a van on the scene.

An ambulance was also called but it is not known if anyone has been injured.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
