Cannabis factory found in Folkestone

Two men have been charged following their arrest in connection with an investigation into a cannabis factory.

Police found cannabis after carrying out a warrant at a disused industrial building in Ross Way, Folkestone, on Tuesday, August 31.

Officers discovered six rooms with cannabis plants growing in them, as well as hydroponic equipment.

Muhamet Metaj, 29, and Elidjon Dalani, 27, both of no fixed address, were arrested in connection with the investigation.

The pair have since been charged with abstracting electricity without authority and cultivating cannabis.

They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday) and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, October 3.
