Folkestone cannabis farm found after police raid property in Denmark Street

A man has been arrested after a cannabis farm was found in a garden shed.

Police carried out a raid after residents alerted them of strong smells coming from the address in Denmark Street in Folkestone.

A total of nine plants were found by the Community Policing Team who searched the property yesterday morning.

It was carried out under a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The plants were being cultivated in the shed and the plants have been seized along with other equipment.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

He was released on bail until June 15 while officers make further inquiries.
