Densole crash: Canterbury Road closed near Black Horse Inn pub on A260 between Folkestone and Canterbury after crash

A main road through the county was closed this morning after a crash in a village.

The A260 between Folkestone and Canterbury was shut in both directions in Densole after the incident shortly before 8.30am.

One woman was reportedly trapped in her vehicle and the fire service was called to release her.

The crash happened on the bend at the junction with Coach Road near the Black Horse Inn pub.

A fire engine from Dover was sent to the scene at 8.30am to reports a woman was stuck.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "One woman was trapped in the car but as it happened when we got there paramedics assessed her and we didn't actually have to take any action."

The road was reopened by 10.30am.
