A thief has been caught on camera stealing a charity box from a takeaway pizza shop.

CCTV footage shows a man dressed in a green coat enter Pizza Hut Delivery in Folkestone town centre and approach the counter.

Police are now investigating the theft of the box, collecting for Children in Need, from the Sandgate Road shop at around 9.45pm last night.

Footage of the brazen theft - which Pizza Hut described as "extremely disappointing" - from the CCTV recording has been published online today.

It shows the man in the store for around a minute before leaving with a box stuffed up his sleeve.

A spokesman for Pizza Hut Delivery said: "We are extremely disappointed that anyone would do this to Children in Need, a charity which so many of our kind customers and team members have helped us to support over the years.
