The air ambulance was scrambled after a young child fell from a window.

Police and other emergency services were called just after 1pm. They responded to reports raising worries for the welfare of a young child in Cheriton Gardens, in Folkestone.

A force spokesman said it is believed the child fell from a window of a house and officers are still at the scene. The youngster was airlifted to a London Hospital.

A police emergency presence has also been seen around the park.

An ambulance spokesman said they couldn't provide details on the incident because it happened at a private residential address.

In an update, police revealed a one-year-old boy was taken to a London hospital and is thought to have minor injuries.
