Folkestone man injured after attack by two men in The Leas

A cyclist was injured by two men who got out of a car and hit him in the face.

The victim was left with a serious injury to his face following the incident in Folkestone.

The man in his 40s was cycling in The Leas on Friday at around 10.20pm, when a car pulled up alongside him as he approached the junction with Shakespeare Terrace.

Two men are then got out of the vehicle and approached him and hit him across the face.

The suspects got back in the car and were seen driving away in the direction of Radnor Park.

The victim was left requiring hospital treatment.

Detectives investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information that could assist with their inquiries.
