Passengers travelling through the Channel Tunnel are this morning suffering lengthy delays to their journeys.
A fire scare in the tunnel halted services and passengers are experiencing delays of up to an hour while the backlog clears.
The tunnel was closed during the morning after fire crews were called to the terminal in Cheriton in Folkestone at just after 10am.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to reports of smoke at 10.06am but crews have searched and there is no sign of fire or smoke.
"We understand the train has been evacuated as a precaution, there are no casualties."
The tunnel is now open but there are still some delays to Eurotunnel and Eurostar services travelling to and from France.
