An artist is asking people to dress up as Noel Edmonds and chase him through Folkestone town centre.

The stunt is part of a performance in the Normal? Festival of the Brain being held at the Folkestone Quarterhouse later this month.

Self-confessed man-child and performance artist Byron Vincent is looking for people to dress up as the TV presenter, clowns or monsters to pursue him through the streets.

Byron Vincent is asking people to dress up as Noel Edmonds and chase him through Folkestone to overcome his fear of the TV presenter

He is calling on people to don their fancy dress in a "mass immersion therapy session".

Participants are asked to meet at Folkestone Quarterhouse next Saturday (May 13) at 4.30pm where they will be given their instructions.

The first two people to catch him will receive free passes to the four day festival.

It is a science and art based festival studying the human mind and brain. This year's theme of the festival is 'can you teach an old dog new tricks?'.

Mr Byron, 42, said: "I grew up indulging in the hedonism and excess of the nineties rave scene and continued with that lifestyle long after it’s bedtime.

"To add insult to Wotsit induced diabetes I’m a working class lad which means I was raised on a diet of Findus Crispy Pancakes and own brand frazzles.

"I’ve never been one for exercise and it’s all beginning to take it’s toll.

"Can you teach an old dog new tricks? The festival seemed like the ideal time to make some changes. So for a few months it’s no more booze or fags.

"I’ll be swapping quavers for quinoa, becoming vegetarian, getting daily exercise, learning new life skills and trying to conquer some old fears.

"If a bunch of Noel Edmons’ chasing me through the streets can’t motivate me, then what hope is there?"
