Emergency services were called out to reports of a child stick in mud.
It was the second such alert in just over a day in the same area.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was today called just after 11.15am today to Folkestone Harbour to reports that a woman and child had become trapped in mud.
A KFRS service spokesman told KentOnline: "The woman and child had both managed to escape safely and were being looked after by paramedics,
"There was no action by the service."
Only yesterday three people were stuck in mud in the harbour and had to be rescued.
Teams from the coastguard, as well as two fire engines, were called out at 10.30am and the two men and one woman were safely pulled out
