A seaside hotel is being outfitted ahead of its role in Danny Boyle's upcoming TV series.

The Oscar winner has so far filmed in Dover and Deal, but has now set his sights on Folkestone's Grand Burstin Hotel.

The series - entitled Pistol - will be shown on Hulu, and has been filmed across Kent.

Crowds flocked to Marine Parade, Wellesley Road and Camden Crescent to get a feel of the film set atmosphere.

Meanwhile streets in Deal had a complete makeover to comply with the show's 1970s setting.

The town was flooded with period-accurate vehicles, while shop signs were changed.

Today's move into the hotel will spark further excitement in the county - which is likely to feature heavily in the series - for the series that stars the likes of Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams.

Earlier in the year, a casting call went out to residents across the county who might be interested in being an extra for the series.

The Grand Burstin's role in the series may change its fortunes, as the company which owns it has been selected as the worst hotel chain for eight years in a row.
