A man has been bitten three times by a dog and twice chased by a pack in Folkestone.
And when he confronted the owner, she first laughed it off and then threatened violence.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "The dogs are believed to have surrounded the man before one of them bit him on his leg three times.
"It is alleged that the owner then approached the man and when challenged over the behaviour of her dogs laughed the incident off and walked away."
The 54-year-old victim had first been attacked when he had been out running on a green in Wear Bay Road between 5.30pm and 6pm on Tuesday.
He was chased by the four dogs and then bitten.
Shortly afterwards, the dogs chased him again as he reached a children’s play area, where one of them tried to bite him.
The owner came to take the dogs away and he asked for her details.
The spokesman added: "It was reported that she ignored this and threatened the man with violence, before walking away with the dogs in the direction of Foreland Avenue."
The man suffered injuries to his right calf and ankle and police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen what happened or noticed the dogs being walked in this area at the time.
The dogs are all described as terrier breeds. Three had brown hair and were possibly puppies, while the other one was older and had white hair.
The dogs' owner was white, stocky and around 5ft 6ins. She had curly brown hair and was aged between 40 and 50.
