Jayden Parkinson's funeral held in St Martin's Church, Horn Street, Cheriton

Family and friends of a teenager whose body was found in a grave have attended her funeral in Cheriton.

Teenager Jayden Parkinson used to live in Tennyson Place in Folkestone

Hundreds of people were at St Martin’s Church, Horn Street, for the service for Jayden Parkinson on Saturday.

Afterwards, the 17-year-old’s body was laid to rest in the church cemetery surrounded by flowers.

Jayden and her family lived in Tennyson Place in Folkestone before moving away several years ago.

She went missing from Didcot, Oxfordshire, near where the family was living, in December. Two weeks later her body was found in a church cemetery in Didcot.

Jayden’s former boyfriend – 22-year-old Ben Blakeley, from Reading – has been charged with her murder and perverting the course of justice.

A 17-year-old boy from Didcot has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Jayden’s family had always said that her funeral would be in Folkestone where they still have family and friends.
