The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins was spotted ordering food in a Kent fish & chip shop.

The 42-year-old was seen taking pictures with staff at Sandy’s in Folkestone at around 5pm yesterday.

Owners of Sandy’s Fish & Chips, Andy Burnett, said that staff thought “she was an extremely lovely lady”.

He said: “The girls working were not 100% sure it was her. But one plucked up the courage to ask her.

“They politely asked for a photo and Gemma was lovely about it. The girls thought that she was an extremely lovely lady to serve.

“I’m not into The Only Way Is Essex but she loved the fish and chips!”

Gemma Collins, 42, is best known for her appearances in The Only Way Is Essex, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice.

The reality TV star, also known as the ‘GC’, was born and raised in Essex and was interested in acting ever since she was a child.

Folkestone residents have reacted to the shock visit to the seaside town online.

One person said: “Omg… I love the GC!”

Another added: “You get them all down there don’t you!”
