Forget about Art Buff, is this now Rat Buff?

A new Banksy-style piece has appeared again in Folkestone.

In what would make it the second time the street artist has visited the town, the picture of the rat has appeared on the very same wall where his first piece turned up.

Art Buff has been the subject of a lengthy legal battle after it was controversially removed last year.

But the latest addition the wall in Payers Park has taken a more tongue in cheek look at the whole saga.

A rat holding a sign which says "Missing... old lady. If found please contact Alastair."

It has not been confirmed yet whether 'Rat Buff' is indeed a genuine Banksy although some social media reports have suggested the piece appeared briefly on the artist's website.

The piece is located right next to where Art Buff was first painted during last year's Triennial.

The Alastair in question on the piece is Al Upton, the chief executive of the Creative Foundation.

The Foundation won a High Court battle in September to gain the rights to Art Buff.

And just last week it returned to the town for the first time.

Mr Upton said they were "delighted with the outcome of the legal proceedings".

But the Foundation has not announced where Art Buff will appear and has been returned to storage while its condition is assessed and discussions are held about where to display it.
