Fire crews called to house blaze lasting more than two hours in Ingles Lane, Folkestone

Firefighters were called to tackle a house fire a property in Folkestone which lasted more than two hours.

Crews were called to Ingles Lane shortly after 7.15am yesterday.

Fire crews were called to a house blaze in Ingles Lane, Folkestone

Four fire engines attended and arrived to find a fire spreading through the first floor of the building.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet and a main jet to tackle the blaze.

It had also spread to a nearby outbuilding and the incident was officially declared to have been brought to a stop two hours later.

One person was passed into the care of paramedics for precautionary checks.

The exact cause has not yet been confirmed.
