A lucky lottery winner could become the most unlucky winner if they don't check their ticket soon.
An unclaimed £72,000 prize from a EuroMillions draw earlier this month could belong to someone in Shepway.
The National Lottery have appealed for players to check their tickets from the Friday, March 6 draw after the ticket was bought in Shepway.
The search is now on to find the owner of the winning ticket who matched the five main numbers before the September 2 deadline.
If no one comes forward to claim their prize, the money plus its interest will go towards National Lottery funded projects across the UK.
The winning numbers in the draw were 23, 30, 47, 49, 50 and the Lucky Star numbers were 2 and 7.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re eager to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.
"We’re urging everyone who bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune!
"We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
A Folkestone couple won big before Christmas claiming a cool £315,000.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
