Traffic has been building on the M20 near Folkestone this afternoon following an earlier problem in the Channel Tunnel.

Queues stretched onto the coast-bound slip road at J11A because of disruption caused by a technical fault.

It left waiting time of up to two hours to freight Eurotunnel services earlier this afternoon.

The problem was resolved by 4pm, but delays to check-in times continued for HGVs.

Knock-on M20 congestion threatened to get worse during the evening rush-hour.
