Man airlifted to London hospital after fall at Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone harbour

A man had to be airlifted to hospital after a fall outside a seaside hotel.

The patient suffered serious injuries after tumbling at the Grand Burstin Hotel on Folkestone harbour at around 4.30pm yesterday.

Initial treatment was delivered by South East Coast ambulance service crews, but the extent of the man's injuries meant they were joined on the scene by the Kent air ambulance at around 5.15pm.

The man was taken by helicopter to a major trauma centre at a London hospital in a serious condition.
