A man has been charged with assaulting four police officers.

Officers were kicked and spat at in Folkestone when they turned up to investigate a separate reported assault.

The incident happened in Cheriton Road on Sunday afternoon.

The man charged was Pham Tuan, 27, of no fixed address.

He was due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on today (Tuesday).
