Police hunt man after pensioner was robbed in Folkestone's Guildhall Street

An image of a man police are hunting after a pensioner was robbed has been released.

The 81-year-old victim suffered a broken wrist following the terrifying ordeal, which happened in Folkestone's Guildhall Street.

The woman was walking along the road when she was approached by a man wearing a grey woolen hat.

Police have released an efit of a man they would like to speak to

He grabbed her shopping bags, containing a newspaper and a bottle of milk.

He is also alleged to have taken a number of items from her including £40 cash, keys and a wallet.

During the attack, the victim fell to the ground and sustained injuries including a broken wrist.

Now, police have released an efit of the suspect, which was put together with the help of the woman.

He is described as a white man with an olive skin tone, aged between 20 and 30 years old, with dark eyes and stubble.

Anyone with any information, or who believes they saw anything suspicious in the area beforehand, should now contact the police.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Saturday, February 27.
