Van overturns on A259 at Folkestone near Blackbull Road

A man needed rescuing from a van after it overturned, trapping him inside.

Firefighters, police and paramedics rushed to the scene after the vehicle crashed on the A259 at Folkestone, near Blackbull Road.

Crews arrived to find the van overturned and a man trapped inside.

They used the jaws of life to free him, and ended up removing the windscreen of the van.

The casualty was given oxygen therapy and first aid before being transferred into the care of paramedics.

The crash took place at 3pm yesterday, with crews remaining on scene for 30 minutes.
