A massive emergency service response has blocked a main route following a crash.
About eight police cars a fire engine and air ambulance helicopter were scrambled to Sandgate Esplanade near Folkestone at about 7.15pm.
Traffic is being forced to turn in both directions to enable emergency crews to work.
Dozens of people could be seen watching the events unfold as police prevent people from using the pavement from the esplanade towards Princes Parade, Hythe.
Having landed on the beach, air ambulance crews could be seen on standby.
The accident happened meters from where a seven-year-old boy was recently killed by a hit-and-run driver.
William Brown died when he was hit by two vehicles on the A259 Sandgate Esplanade.
Stewart Powell, 49, earlier this year admitted leaving the scene of an accident and will be sentenced at a later date.
The emergency services have been contacted for comment regarding today's accident.
