Two men have been arrested after being caught with a huge haul of cooking oil.
The suspects were spotted by police officers wheeling barrels away from a takeaway in Folkestone.
The officers from Kent Police's Roads Policing Unit first became aware of a suspicious vehicle at around 2.45am today.
They tracked the black Ford Transit van down in Broomfield Road, Cheriton, a short time later.
Upon searching the vehicle, the officers found a number of barrels of cooking oil in the back.
Moments later, two men were spotted walking away from the back of another premises in the High Street, carrying more barrels of the kitchen supplies.
The suspects, a 54-year-old man from London and a 46-year-old man from Norfolk, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
Both remain in custody pending further enquiries.
