A couple's missing dachshund has been found after disappearing for four days.

Hallie, a miniature tan and brindle dachshund, escaped after burying her way out of the garden from her home in Folkestone on Tuesday.

But she was found this morning near Bannatyne's gym in Cheriton much to the delight and relief of her owner, Vicky Chessum.

She thanked everybody who had helped with putting up posters and sharing sightings and spreading the word.

They had searched all around Cheriton for the past four days and evenings, even getting up at first light at 4am yesterday to try to catch her.

It had been an amazing response with people trying to help and find her, Miss Chessum said.

The search was called off this morning when Hallie was found on a waste ground area behind the Premier Inn and Brickfield pub.

Hallie has already eaten a good dinner and is now resting on the sofa at home.
